2022 Conference Wrap-up

On the 11th-12th June 2022 we hosted our second annual virtual conference.

The conference was tailored for both healthcare professionals and families, as the program was packed with patient stories, live Q&As and scientific presentations on the condition of idiopathic ketotic hypoglycemia (unexplained low blood sugar with high ketones).

Our conference saw massive attendance, and has been covered in the news.

This year, the vulnerable subject of Münchausen by Proxy was tackled in relation to pathological ketotic hypoglycemia (severely low blood sugar with high ketone bodies) in children.

The annual conference in the patient organization today functions as a patient organization-run hub for research, where new research results are presented, research collaborations are established and gaps in the existing knowledge about the condition are identified through patient stories and questions from the 1,700 families in the organization.

Sunday Track – watch below:

The organizations conference and research are strongly supported by our Scientific Advisory Board consisting of leading researchers in complex hypoglycemia within endocrinology, pediatric endocrinology and inherited metabolic diseases.

The Scientific Advisory Board is led by the Danish clinical professor Henrik Thybo Christesen from Odense University Hospital.

We look forward to seeing you all again next year!
